This promises to be a massive night to remember as Yo-Yo bring Dirty Pretty Things to Hull featuring Ex-Libertine and front man Carl Barat and Didz Hammond from Indie super group Dirty Pretty Things to The Piper Club Hull on Saturday 30th August. Carl is Rock n Roll royalty, shooting to fame as a founding member of The Libertines along with Pete Doherty. Carl went on to form Dirty Pretty Things after a dispute with Pete Doherty led to the break up of The Libertines in 2004.

DPT's debut album, 'Waterloo to Anywhere', was released in 2006, reaching number three on the music charts and receiving critical approval.
'Romance at Short Notice' is the brand new second album by the band, and was released on June 30th and flew into the top forty with the first single, 'Tired of England' still riding high in The NME top ten.
Carl and DPT's appearance at Yo-Yo comes in the middle of festivals, live gigs, TV appearances and general media scramble that is surrounding them during the release of the band's second album. The gig at Yo-Yo was delayed by Carl Barat's well documented illness several weeks ago.

Other Indie DJ's keeping the Yo-Yo party rocking till 2am include DJ Priya & Andiyo-yo and Uncle Dave.

We are pleased to announce that The View (DJ Set) featuring Kieren Webster will be coming to The Piper Club on Saturday 4th October 2008. The View (DJ set) at Yo-Yo Hull will see Kieren fresh from appearing at V-Festival and putting the finishing touches to The Views second album which was recorded with super producer Owen Morris and is set for release early 2009. The album features guest stars The Babyshambles and Paolo Nutini. Kieren Webster is the vocalist/bass guitarist for Scottish Indie band, along with frontman Kyle Falkoner, he writes the majority of The View’s material. Kieren was placed 6th in the NME Cool List.

Yo-Yo Promoter Andiyo-yo said "Things are really hotting up for Yo-Yo at the moment. First, Dirty Pretty Things are coming to DJ, now The View's Kieren. People won't be disappointed by these star appearances. We plan to have them on the stage with full production and projections."
